YouTuber Okay Wasabi Bags A Radio Presenting Gig
YouTuber Okay Wasabi Bags A Radio Presenting Gig. It is that time of the year, where radio stations across the country are spicing up their lineup. Some radio personalities have sadly been led go, others have found home in other radio stations, and some have been shifted to new slots and new shows.
As much as some of our personalities are left out in the cold, the exciting part is that new talent is being rope. One person whose contribution on radio we are looking forward to is George “OK Wasabi” Mnguni. The YouTube content creator and TV personality has joined Y FM to be a contributor on the station’s flagship breakfast show called The Way Up.
Wasabi will be holding it down with equally talented personalities, Mthaux and Botlhale otherwise known as, Nia Brown. The new breakfast show will start airing from April 3rd 2023, and we definitely can’t wait.
Wasabi is one of the personalities who has used social media to penetrate the entertainment industry. He has paved his way to becoming one of the most loved YouTubers in the country. Known for making parodies of popular songs, Wasabi’s comedy is intimately tied to music.
A year ago, he got to host his second reality TV show, Switch Up Your Space, alongside media personality Smash Afrika and interior designer Ayesha Nobanda. The show sees the Castle Lite and Switch Up squad traveling to spaces to transform people’s home entertainment areas.
His bio on Instagram reads, “I’m Going To Be A Household Name,” and he has already achieved that. With over 50k followers, Wasabi is clearly relatable, and most people vibe with his content. That is why he is now being absorbed by the mainstream media.
