ICYMI! Mo Flava Bids Farewell to METRO FM

ICYMI! Mo Flava Bids Farewell to METRO FM. The radio reshuffles are in full mode, a very anxious time for both listeners and radio personalities. Just when we were enjoying the combo of Mo Flava, Khutso Theledi, Lindi Serame, and Owen Hannie, then boom! A major shake happens.

Mo Flava has just announced that he is partying ways with METRO FM. This comes after the media personality, DJ and brand ambassador has been with the radio station for a whole eight years. Mo Flava started with the leading radio station when he hosted the Afternoon Drive show with Masechaba Khumalo.

When DJ Fresh exited the radio station, Mo Flava took over the breakfast show. Together with the late Pearl Shongwe and Owen, they killed the Morning Flava’ show. The trio were famously known as M.O.P. A year ago, Khutso Theledi joined METRO FM, to co-host the Wake UP On METRO FM breakfast show. Sadly, Mo Flava is leaving, and Khutso will hold the fort until a suitable replacement is found.

On a statement released by METRO FM, Mo Flava will be pursuing other interests, which are media related. He will also continue helping upcoming radio personalities nurture their talents.

“The time has come for me to move on and explore other opportunities. I have spent eight amazing years at METRO FM and I appreciate the opportunity I was given to do top level radio and touch lives. The METRO FM listeners have a special place in my heart. I am looking forward to exploring new opportunities I have lined up in radio, where I will continue to express my talent. I am also excited about TV opportunities in the horizon. I will also continue to help young people who want to get into radio broadcasting through radio demo workshops,” Mo Flava said.

His last broadcast on METRO FM will be on Friday, the 10th of March 2023.

I’m bidding farewell to MetroFM. It’s been 8 incredible years! Thank you to all who have supported me! Looking forward to the journey ahead,” MoFlava announced.
