Check Out the New Ministers and Deputy Ministers. The much anticipated cabinet reshuffle has happened and we have new Ministers and deputy Ministers in the country.

When welcoming them, President Cyril Ramaphosa stated that he has instructed both new and existing members of Cabinet to act with speed and urgency to address the challenges that our country faces.

One of the appointments that many were looking forward to was of the new Minister of Electricity. For his most recent State of the Nation Address, the President spoke about the load shedding crisis that the country finds itself in. In a bid to try solve the problem, Ramaphosa stated that he will appoint a Minister of Electricity in the Presidency. The minister would be responsible for energy recovery. To achieve this, the minister will work with the Eskom board and management.

Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has just made history, as he is the first person to be appointed the Minister in the Presidency responsible for Electricity. As expected, he has been trending on social media since the appointment.

Another interesting change is that of the deputy president. It goes without saying that many wanted to see the individual that was going to replace David Mabuza, who recently resigned. Assuming the role of Deputy President of the Republic, is Paul Mashatile.

Other new changes to look out for are Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture, Mr Zizi Kodwa, who replaces, former Minister, Nathi Mthethwa. Mr Sihle Zikalala has been appointed as the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Minister of Tourism is Ms Patricia de Lille, replacing Lindiwe Sisulu.

Sindisiwe Chikunga took over from Fikile Mbalula, to become the new Minister of Transport. The new Minister in the Presidency responsible for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities is Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma.
