Bonang Matheba Gushes Over Her Mom. No matter how old or independent you are, when it comes to your mother you are still that vulnerable baby. Over the years we have seen Bonang Matheba show a very soft side of her, when she speaks of her mother, Charlotte Mokoena.
The multi-award winning media personality and entrepreneur doesn’t really talk much about her family on social media. But that doesn’t mean she is not family oriented, it’s just that she prefers to keep that aspect of her life private. Having noted that though, when the time comes for her to speak of a family member, Bonang pours her heart out.
This time around the focus is on her mother, Mama Mokoena. Bonang took to Twitter where she posted about how much she loves her amazing mom. She didn’t reveal much about what her om could have done, but it is clear that it has made Mogirl happy.
“….yho!! I love my Mom. What an amazing hun,” Bonang said on one of her posts.
Just like her famous daughter, Mama Mokoena is such a phenomenal woman. She holds the position of Executive Vice-President of Human Resources and Stakeholder Relations at Sasol. In 2021, she made herself and her family proud when she graduated with a Master of Commerce (Leadership Studies) degree, cum laude at the age of 55.
Her other vocation is teaching. Mokoena practiced as a guidance teacher at a school in Mahikeng for about a year before returning to work for a youth development NGO in Soweto, while working in conflict resolution in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands when violence in the province was rife in the early 1990s. What a woman!
