Ayanda Thabethe Once Again Gets Mistaken for Miss South Africa Runner Up
Ayanda Thabethe Once Again Gets Mistaken for Miss South Africa Runner Up. And this is not the first time, neither will it be the last time. By virtue of Ayanda Thabethe sharing a name with our current Miss SA runner up, who is also Ayanda Thabethe, there will always be a case of mistaken identity.
Sharing both the first and last name with someone in the same industry as you, can be quite tricky. Both Ayandas know this very well, as their identities have been mixed up before. These beautiful ladies are not related, they just happen to be among those people who share both the first and last name. Ayanda, who has been in the industry for years, did mention a couple of months back that it’s just a case of sharing names. Of course by that virtue, she was rooting for her namesake to go far in the Miss SA pageant, and she did not disappoint.
When Ayanda (beauty queen), assumed first runner up position at Miss SA 2022, many people congratulated the other Ayanda (media personality). Well, clearly they did not watch the pageant, because the two ladies don’t look similar.
Even now, there is still some confusion when it comes to the two beauties. Recently it was revealed that Miss SA runner up will be representing us at this year’s Miss Supranational, taking place in Poland in July 2023. African Insider publication ran the article, but they made one mistake. They used the wrong picture of Ayanda Thabethe.
“Angisemdala … they really should tag the right person Yazi,” Ayanda said in disbelief.
