Sello Maake kaNcube Stars In A Hit Play By John Kani. As the saying goes, “Choose a job you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” This is exactly the life of Sello Maake kaNcube, who loves his job as an actor.

The award-winning veteran actor has acted almost every role you can think of, thanks to his versatility. Among the roles that Maake kaNcube has played include being a medical doctor, a womanizer, a family man, a gay man, a fraudster among others. He nails them perfectly, leaving viewers asking for more.

He has now bagged a role in a theatre play, and we are here for it. Maake kaNcube will star in the outstanding South African play, NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH by the award-winning actor and playwright John Kani. The play takes us into a gripping investigation into the complex dynamic between those blacks who remained in South Africa and risked their lives to lead the struggle against apartheid and those who returned victoriously after living in exile.

In New Brighton, South Africa, 63-year-old librarian Sipho Makhaya prepares for the return of the ashes of his brother Themba, recently deceased while in exile in London after gaining a reputation as a hero of the anti-apartheid movement.

Maake kaNcube has been cast as lead in the play, which is directed by Charmaine Weir-Smith. Mbali Nhlapo and Ziaphora Dakile also star on NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH.

It’s time I go back and show them who is the real king of the jungle! I was born for that stage. Do your best always and don’t wait for anyone to tell you that you are great. God rewards excellence always,” Maake kaNcube said in excitement.
