Fans Weigh in on Moozlie Being the MC At AKA’s Memorial Service. The day that many have been waiting for in anticipation is here. On this day, AKA’s life is being celebrated through a memorial service organized specially for his fan base, the Megacy.
The multi-award winning rapper, TV personality and entrepreneur was brutally killed this past Friday in Durban. AKA and his close friend, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, were gunned down outside a restaurant on Florida Road. The pair are thought to have been on their way to a nightclub for a performance as part of AKA’s birthday celebrations when they were shot.
His memorial service is currently uderway at the Sandton Convention Center in Johannesburg. It is such ans emotional moment, but attendees are trying by all means to brighten up the mood by remembering AKA with his music. At the end of the day though, a life has been lost, and images of Kairo Forbes crying makes it difficult to be all smiles.
The MC for the event is Nomuzi Mabena, otherwise known as Moozlie in the industry. The two had such a beautiful relationship thanks to them both being award-winning rappers. AKA and Moozlie had also worked together, and they featured on Don Design’ latest’s hip-hop record “Python”. These are some of the reasons why Moozlie is the perfect person to hold down the event.
As we all know, AKA was a big name, hence this is a big gig. A lot of people are weighing in on Moozlie being the master of ceremony. For various reasons, some are not feeling her energy, and feel she is not the right person for the job. Others however, are okay with her holding it down.
