DJ Zinhle Shares How Kairo is Doing Amidst the Passing of Her Father. Social media platforms are filled with the most beautiful pictures and videos of AKA and Kairo Forbes. From birthday celebrations, dancing together, outings, bedtime stories, to affirmations, the daddy and daughter duo always served beautiful goals.
These are some of the things we will always remember AKA with as he recently passed away. The multi-award winning rapper, TV personality and entrepreneur was brutally killed this past Friday in Durban. AKA and his close friend, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, were gunned down outside a restaurant on Florida Road. The pair are thought to have been on their way to a nightclub for a performance as part of AKA’s birthday celebrations when they were shot.
Tony Forbes, AKA’s father is the family spokesperson and he has been giving updates since the sad incident. His baby mama, DJ Zinhle has also been paying tribute to AKA with beautiful memories, mostly the ones he shared with Kairo.
On the other hand nothing has been posted yet on Kairo’s Instagram page. The account which has over a million followers is managed by her grandmother, who is also AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes. Nonetheless, everyone is concerned for the 7 year-old influencer, and they have been sending her condolence messages.
Kairo’s mom DJ Zinhle has however updated the public on how her daughter is doing. She shared a video of Kairo in her usual happy mood. She stated that her daughter is feeling pretty today and thanked the well wishers for their immense love and prayers.
AKA will be laid to rest in a private provincial funeral on Saturday, February 18 and his memorial service will take place on Friday, February 17 at the Sandton Convention Centre at 3pm.
