We have witnessed Theo work his way up, to be this phenomenal businessman, who wins at everything he touches. Among his most outstanding recognition include being part of the Forbes 30under30. being announced the Businessman of the Year, bagging the Entrepreneur of the Year award three times as well as being named GQ Business Leader. A year go, Theo was elected as a new board member/director for the South African Council of Shopping Centres (SACSC).
It looks like even the sky is not the limit for this high achiever. The Bathu CEO has added yet another award to his collection. Theo has just bagged himself the Ubuntu Economic Diplomacy (AFRICA) award by the Department of International Relations and Cooperation. Shoprite, which has over 500 stores and over 20 million shoppers across the continent, also received the same award.
“Happy to announce that I was awarded the Ubuntu Economic Diplomacy (AFRICA) award by the Department of International Relations and Cooperation. The department aims to recognize organizations & citizens for their contribution towards promoting South Africa’s national interests,” Theo announced.
The Ubuntu awards honor the contribution made by those who have excelled in promoting the interests of the country internationally. Having been launched in 2015, the awards are a platform for celebrating the achievements and contributions of our trailblazers.
