Job vacancy- Estimator

Responsibilities:

·         Analyse Enquiries and RFQs received

·         Plan and prepare Tenders within the required timescale

·          Detailed estimating of supply, manufacturing, erection, and installation costs

·         Liaison and direction of the Planning function for the Tender

·          Liaison with customers

·         Arrange site visits for familiarisation and clarification of requirements

·         Prepare, issue and adjudicate enquiries to subcontractors

·         Liaise with other relevant Departments in the organisation

·          Staff management and development

 Minimum Qualifications:

·         Matric with Mathematics and Science

·          T4 in Mechanical Engineering

·         Trade Apprenticeship Minimum Experience

·          15 years Engineering and on-site practical        background

·          5 years detailed estimating experience

·         Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.

·          Knowledge of man-hour estimation, power plant maintenance site productivity, site constraints and maintenance/construction processes

·          Have excellent English communication skills, both oral and written

·          Be proficient in Excel and Word

·          Have excellent marketing and negotiating skills

·          Have business acumen and commercial awareness
