Msaki Announces Her Final Gig Guide. This is definitely goodbye. Msaki was not joking when she recently revealed that she was taking a break from music.
Of recent, the award-winning singer-songwriter and composer has been going through the most. Towards the end of last year Msaki made headlines after it was reported that she and media personality Smash Afrika were allegedly having an affair. She was dragged for days, for marriage wrecking. Although Msaki played it cool at first, the allegations eventually got to her.
Msaki started sharing some rather disturbing posts on Twitter. In one tweet she posted a picture of herself with a couple of friends, who she thanked for saving her life a year ago. This raised alarm to her fans and followers, who concluded that their fave was going through something. Msaki then announced that she was leaving music and social media.
“Please release me. I may seem weak for letting this get to me. But I am sensitive and sentimental, an empath….my skin is not thick… It is porous, so I feel the changes in the breeze. “I’m moved quickly and deeply, and I understand this may be abnormal. I don’t expect everyone to understand, but I know some of you get it,” she said.
At least Msaki is not taking this break cold turkey. She has squeezed in a couple of gigs up until August this year. Hopefully she will be back in the industry, after the much needed break.
