Moja Love Releases A Statement Regarding the Gender Based Violence On Isencane Lengane
Moja Love Releases A Statement Regarding the Gender Based Violence On Isencane Lengane. This is one of the shows on the station, that are quite controversial. Things have been hectic from the very first episode when school going kids Thando Msomi and Siyacela Dlamuka git married, up until now where their marriage is toxic.
Isencane Lengane follows the lives of the couple, and their relationship with immediate family members. No episodes goes by without fights (mostly verbal) from the couple, or between them and those close to them. In the current storyline, Siyacela is doing all he could to formally introduce his side girlfriend to Thando. As expected, it is fight after fight, and viewers are not impressed with the content they are fed with.
On Sunday, they saw Thando experiencing Gender-Based Violence at the hands of Siyacela. What’s even more shocking is that Moja LOVE proceeded to air this disturbing episode. After viewers dragged both the show and the channel, issued a statement apologizing.
“The most recent episode of Isencane Lengane, on Moja LOVE (DStv Channel 157), saw couple Siyacela Dlamuka and Thando Msomi engage in a heated argument, leading to Siyacela becoming violent towards her. Following the broadcast of this episode, there has been uproar with some labeling this as irresponsible broadcasting” the statement began.
Moja LOVE then put it on record that, they do not condone Gender based violence in any way. The statement also stated that the channel prides itself on producing content that reflects the reality in our society including social ills. Having noted that, they can not sweep the incident between Thando and Siyacela under the carpet.
