Letoya Makhene has just shown the spirit of Ubuntu through her foundation. The talented musician, actress and radio personality saw a post on Twitter about an elderly woman in need of a new wheelchair. The current wheelchair that the 67 year old is using is worn out and lacks comfort. After seeing the plight of the Gogo, a young philanthropist asked assistance from anyone who can assist with a wheelchair.

One of the people who responded to the tweet is Letoya, who was moved by the woman’s situation. She immediately shared that through her Letoya Makhene Foundation, she would like to offer Gogo a comfortable wheelchair. She also applauded the young man who posted the issue, for the beautiful work he is doing.

Letoya Makhene Foundation has done a lot for the community over the years. Just like many celebrities with foundations, she has reached out to needy communities in the country. The Letoya Makhene Foundatione also takes a stand against gender-based violence (GBV). Her wife, Lebo Keswa is currently part-time Senior Managing Director at the foundation.
