Check Out How Celebs Stepped Out for the Kings of Joburg Premier. This was the first main red carpet event of the year, and our celebrities definitely showed up. From the likes of Connie Ferguson, Thembi Seete, Nambitha Ben-Mazwi, to Sandile Mahlangu, Thapelo Mokoena and KB Motsilanyane, everyone looked exquisite for the premier of Kings of Joburg.

The award winning series follows the lives of the notorious Masire brothers who rule Johannesburg’s criminal underworld. They encounter problems though, as there is a supernatural family curse and a tangled web of betrayal threaten to destroy them. Kings of Joburg stars the late Shona Ferguson, his widow Connie Ferguson, Zolisa Xaluva, Thembi Seete, Tsholofelo Matshaba among others.

From season II trailer, it s evident that the Masire brothers still run the city. Simon (Shona), was the feared “big dog” of the yard, sadly for his family, he is no more, and Mo (Zolisa) acknowledges that he is not his brother. His enemies have smelt this uncertainty and declared, “Jozi has no king” while adding “Mo is weak.” The dominion of the Masires over the city is about to be challenged, fiercely.

The premier of Kings of Joburg was also as interesting as the show itself. Star studded red carpets were the order of the day as everyone wanted to be on the best dressed lists of various publications.

Season 2 of Kings of Joburg streams officially on Netflix on the 27th of January 2023.
