Tony Kgoroge Returns to Imbewu. When it comes to soapies, dramas, telenovelas and films, the impossible always happens. Quite a number of times we have seen dead characters come back to life. Imbewu has just followed that route as one of their lead actors is rising from the dead.

In August 2020, Imbewu fans were left shattered when one of their favorite characters died. Zimele “Ngcolosi” Bhengu who is played by Tony Kgoroge, was shot down while in his car, and he died in hospital. The hit e.tv drama made this particular episode look so real, that many of the viewers were touched to the core. It was a heartbreaking moment when the machines had to be switched off, and Zimele succumbing to his injuries.

As it is normally the case when a family head passes on, there has been so many fights for power and a lot of backstabbing. It has been two years since Zimele’s passing and a lot has happened on Imbewu. In a shocking twist of events, Tony is returning to the show, to carry on with his character who has seemingly resurrected. Although the veteran actor hasn’t said a thing, Imbewu has updated on their social media pages that he is making a return to the show.

A month ago another cast member, Phindile Gwala returned to Imbewu. She joined the show in 2020playing Fikile, who arrived on the scene at the funeral service of Zimele. Fikile was believed to be dead, but shocked many when she returned as the new owner of Emsamo. Her return is part of a sinister plot that she’s been cooking up with, Khemisi who is MaNdlovu’s cynical brother.
