Thato Mokoena Joins A Hit Telenovela. Talk about dreams coming true! For about seven years, Thato Mokoena has been trying to get a role on a telenovela, and now it has finally happened. What better way to do it in one of our leading shows, The River!

Back in September, the pint-sized star revealed that she bagged a role in a local telenovela. Taking to Twitter, Thato stated that after 7 years of countless auditions, callbacks and rejections, she finally got a part. Everyone has been waiting for January 2023, as we get to see her fulfill one of her ultimate dreams.

Well, we don’t have to wait that long as Thato has shared a snippet of the role she is going to play. From the clip, she is going tom play a young lady by the name Nthabiseng Malete, who will cause trouble in the Hlophe household. After sleeping with their son Mlilo (played by Vuyo Biyela), Nthabiseng asks for R30k, and when her demands are not met she opened a case of sexual assault.

Although many people came to know Thato as a reality show star, thanks to Big Brother, she has shown her versatility in numerous ways. She has so far done TV presenting (Home Ground), hosted major events, grown as a YouTube content creator and she is also tapping into entrepreneurship.  Now Thato is also showing off as an actress of note with this new role on The River.
