Ndavi Nokeri Reveals Her National Costume for Miss Universe Pageant. At this rate, we are more than ready to bring the crown home. Our representative Ndavi Nokeri is doing all the preparation needed to win the Miss Universe 2023 crown.
Ndavi, our reigning Miss South Africa will take on the Miss Universe stage on the 14th of January 2023 in New Orleans, USA. One of the most important aspects of any beauty pageant has to be costumes. Looking at what our beauty queen will be rocking, it goes without saying that she is going to turn heads.
The national costume is one attire that the masses always look forward to seeing because of how outstanding it makes each participant to look. South Africa never disappoints in this department and this year is no exception. Our Ndavi is paying homage to her Tsonga heritage with an eye catching Tsonga inspired dress.
“From the very beginning of my Miss South Africa journey, I always wanted people to know that I was standing for Tsonga people because growing up as a child I felt as if we were under-represented. At the same time, we’ve incorporated the fact that I’m South African and African; this is so beautiful because I’ve come to learn that as Africans we are more alike than we are different thanks to our shared experiences and values. It is a proud moment for me to make all Africans feel seen, understood and represented,“ Nadvi said.

Ndavi also gave us a glimpse of the breathtaking pageant dress she will be rocking. She will be walking that ramp in a dress designed by Juan William Aria. The sheer gold dress is adorned with precious stones which represents South Africa’s mineral wealth.
