Kaya FM’s Sammy T Called Out for How He Conducted Interview With Nadia Nakai. He has been accused of trying to channel MacG and failing dismally at it. This is after people listened to Sammy T interviewing Nadia Nakai recently on Kay FM.
Nadia was a guest on Dineo Ranaka and Sol Phenduka’s Kaya 959 breakfast show. That morning Sammy T stood in for Ranaka, and he was the one leading the interview. Although Nadia has done a lot as a woman in the Hip Hop space, her personal life took the centre stage. Sammy T wanted Nadia to open up about her relationship with fellow rapper AKA. He also asked about her departure from Family Tree record label, which is headed by Cassper Nyovest. Nadia was also asked if there is no bad blood between her and Cassper.
What many people did not appreciate was Sammy T using such phrases as ‘Naked Chick‘, referring to Nadia. He also insinuated that her being associated with AKA and Cassper somewhat elevated her career in the music industry. Sammy T also asked Nadia if her being with AKA was in anyway to spite his arch rival, AKA.
Nadia handled the questions so well to say the least. Instead of getting all worked up, she stated that she can never do anything to spite Cass, since he gave her such a big opportunity as a rapper. Nadia also made it clear that she is dating AKA and was associated with Cassper, by virtue of being signed under Family Tree.
As people applauded Nadia for handling the interview very well. On the other hand Sammy T was catching smoke. Many are not impressed by his style of questioning. They hate how he seemingly credited Nadia’s success to AKA and Cassper.

That Sammy T Nadia interview on kaya was quite cringe. The part where he asked about AKA, Cassper & calling her the "naked chick." In fact that's where I stopped watching, for a seasoned radio presenter that was in poor taste.
