Basetsana Kumalo Sings Romeo’s Praises As their Clock 22 Years of Marriage. They have been serving inspirational couple goals for a long as we can remember. Basetsana and Romeo Kumalo have been married for over two decades, but they are still on their honeymoon stage.

On the 9th of December 2000, the couple tied the knot in one of the most extravagant celebrity weddings ever. As she always does on their anniversary, Basetsana took us down memory lane to the beautiful ceremony they had. The former Miss South Africa and Miss Universe finalist shared their vows, their first dance as a couple, their parents speeches, the couple’s interview on how they met among other things.

“We took our first dance to Barbra Streisand – I Finally Found Someone song twenty two years ago on the 9th of December 2000. It feels like it was just yesterday when I said I do to you. Choosing you as my husband is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Twenty two years later…I will choose you again and again,” Basetsana said.

She also sang Romeo‘s praises, who according to her has been consistent and dependable through the years.

“Your devotion to me and the kids is a beautiful blessing to witness, you support me in all my endeavors and dreams, always saying you can do it, believing the best of me when I need the encouragement. Through the ups and downs of life, you remain unwavering in your love for me. In you, I married my best friend and look forward to growing old with you my love.”
