Actress Terry Pheto Addresses Fraud Allegations

Actress Terry Pheto Addresses Fraud Allegations. She has been trending for a couple of days now but sadly there is nothing good about it. Terry Pheto‘s Good Girl image has been tainted as she finds herself implicated in a fraud scandal.

The multi-award winning actress has been pointed out among other eight individuals accused of fraud relating to funding by the National Lotteries Commission. They are said to have defrauded the commission, a total of R25 million. It was reported on Friday that the unit had obtained a high court preservation order to freeze nine luxury properties, cars, and two restaurants valued at about R25-million, belonging to various individuals. Among the implicated people include lawyers, an accountant, a former commissioner and a CEO for a group of hotels.

According to SIU spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago, Terry has been implicated because her name come into the fold when they were tracing the money. They ended up in this property that is owned by Terry, hence why her name is attached to the allegations.

Terry thus faced massive backlash when social media users caught wind of the allegations that she was under investigation for fraud. Looking at the fact that she has kept a clean image for the most part of her career, this has been an opportunity for naysayers to attack Terry. She on the other hand did not keep mum while she trended on social media. Terry has rubbished the rumors that she was involved in any fraud with a statement that she shared on Twitter.

As someone who holds the law in high regard, Terry expressed that she was shocked to find herself as the subject of a Special Investigating Unit for fraud allegations. She denied any involvement in the alleged scheme that has been reported on.
