Applications Open for the Department of Tourism Bursary Programme 2023. The Department of Tourism invites students to apply for Bursaries Programme 2023 academic year.
The Department of Tourism offers Bursary opportunities to South African graduates studying (Diploma/ Degree/ Hons MSc/ M Tech Masters/ PhD) in the below mentioned fields of study. Bursaries is opened only for the full-time studies with any accredited institution in South Africa.

- Business Management
- Communication Science
- Journalism
- Public Relations
- Computer Science
- Information Technology (Software Development, Data Warehousing and related, Data Processing)
- Development Studies
- Economics
- Internal Audit (Forensic / IT Audit)
- Risk Management
- Statistics / Data Management
- Supply Chain Management
- Tourism Development / Tourism Management
NB. Successful candidates will sign a bursary contract. The contract will be for the remainder of the study, renewable annually based on academic progress.
Applications forms must be submitted to the address below or hand delivered by not later than the closing date.
Required Documents:
- Completed Bursary Application Form,
- Copies of certificates (certified copies will be requested from successful applicants), academic transcripts and an ID document,
- Proof of registration,
- Proof of guardian’s income and motivational letter.
