In September 2017, the multi award winning comedian, TV host and author extended his stay on the show by penning a 5 year contract. We are now in September 2022, and this marks a whole seven years of Noah as the host of The Daily Show.

All this years, he has done a great job. Noah’s platform on the show has led to three stand-up specials on Comedy Central and Netflix. He has also interviewed Hollywood stars such as Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith, Zozibini Tunzi among others. Noah has also bagged several awards including an Emmy for Best Short Form Variety Series, and a Best Host award at the MTV Movie and TV Awards, beating Ellen DeGeneres.

Now the longtime host of The Daily Show has announced that he is leaving after being with the show for seven years. On Thursday The Daily Show, shared a clip shared on their social media pages where Noah was announcing his exit.

“I realized that after these seven years, my time is up. But in the most beautiful way, honestly,” Noah said.

He also expressed gratitude as he went down memory lane of this beautiful journey.

There are so many people who make this thing come together, and I want to say thank you to the audience for an amazing seven years……It’s been wild. I remember when we first started, so many people didn’t believe in us. It was a crazy bet to make. I still think it was a crazy choice… What a journey it’s been.”
