Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng Receives a Congratulatory Message From Oprah Winfrey. As they say, real recognizes real. It takes a legend to recognize the work of another legend. This is the case with what has just happened to Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng.
The University of Cape Town vice-chancellor professor has been recognized for her amazing dedication on education. She has won the inaugural Africa Education Medal, which recognizes the work of changemakers who transform education on the continent.
