Another thing about the celebrated media personality, actress and activist is that she is also big on birthdays. All her loved ones are sure of a shout out on their special days. Just the other day, Nomzamo’s big sister Wendy Mbatha celebrated her birthday, and Nomzamo seized the moment by making the day extra special.
She regards Wendy as someone with love, who protects, provides and empowers, among other great qualities. Nomzamo also wished her big sister’s light to always shine.

Two years ago, Nomzamo shared that she almost had a disastrous 21st birthday, but thanks to Wendy the day was saved. “There was no money. Invites went out for a venue that was not even paid for nor booked,” Nomzamo explained.
To save the day, Wendy went to the bank the day before the party and took out a loan for R20 000. She then gave Nomzamo R18 000 to go to a hotel that had availability for their conference center and would be able to host her birthday.
“In the months leading up to the day she made sure I had TWO dresses, outfit change, HELLO? And had bought me these ‘Louboutins and I had the most perfect celebration … she is my hero, my love, my best friend and my kindred spirit.“
