This is the case with Innocent Masuku, who is a recovering drug addict. The former Zone 14 and Yizo Yizo actor has been missing in action, because of his drug addiction. As gifted and loved as he was, Innocent sadly lost his wife, large sums of money, property, assets, lucrative career opportunities as well as good friends in the industry and society.
He recently visited Podcast Chill with MacG, where he got candid about his journey to overcoming his drug addiction. Just like many drug addicts out there Innocent was introduced to drugs by a friend in 2000. Instead of blaming the person who introduced him to drugs, Innocent is taking accountability and wants to take his life back. The talented actor wants to return to acting after spending six weeks in a rehabilitation centre. He is also using his story to help anyone in his situation to have hope and do better.
After sharing his story on Podcast Chill with MacG, Innocent got respect and support from many social media users. They reached out with messages of encouragement. After opening a Twitter account, Innocent reached 10k followers in just a day, and the numbers are soaring.
