Bonang Takes On Another Prominent Political Leader
Bonang Takes On Another Prominent Political Leader. Gone are the days when those who hold higher positions in politics were feared. Nowadays voters and the public at large can call out political leaders publicly if hey fell that they are not performing as per expectations.
One personality who never shies away from taking on these leaders is Bonang Matheba. Of late the multi-award winning media personality and entrepreneur has been spitting fire at politicians for lack of delivery. Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Nathi Mthethwa knows her very well. Among the things that Bonang was not happy with Mthethwa about includes the minister defending the R22million flag project, as well as him not compensating Banyana Banyana properly in their Women African Cup of Nations victory.
Well another minister has also not been spared of Bonang’s wrath. She has called out Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula who has just posted about traveling to Qatar. Bonang feels the minister should instead be giving attention to Pongola where 21 people were killed in a crash on Friday. Of the 21 deceased 19 were young school children. The incident has left the country feeling for the families, and also calling for government to step up when it comes to strict regulations and proper roads.
“Tone deaf. All of you. You should’ve cancelled this trip. The community of Pongola needs you,” Bonang tweeted.
Cyril Ramaphosa who also tweeted videos of himself hanging with the United States of America president Joe Biden, also caught strays. Bonang says they all lack compassion and empathy.
After Bonang’s tweet, Mbalula issued a statement, conveying his condolences to the families of the deceased.
“We learnt with great shock of the horrific accident which claimed 21 lives in UPhongolo. We welcome the arrest of the truck driver and await reports on further investigations,” Mbalula said.
