Nomzamo Mbatha Launches Awards to Empower Women In Business. One thing about Nomzamo Mbatha, she is all about giving back. We have seen a lot of great philanthropic projects through her Nomzamo Mbatha Lighthouse Foundation in collaboration with Hollywood Bets.
So far the two organizations have assisted students who have not been able to further their studies with over a million rands worth of funding. Beginning of 2021, Nomzamo partnered with two organizations, Cotton On and Unilever, to come through for underprivileged students who were badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. They gifted them with school jerseys, school shoes as well as some other cool goodies. The trio are also looking for one high school in the Eastern Cape where they supported one learner with full stationery.
Nomzamo Mbatha Lighthouse Foundation and Hollywood Bets have collaborated once again and this time around the focus is on women. The talented actress, media personality and Goodwill Ambassador wants to empower and seed into women owned businesses that show economic and community driven impact through the Empowering Her initiative.
She has just launched the Nomzamo Mbatha Lighthouse Foundation Empowering Her Women in Business Awards. These awards are se to assist women in amplifying their business’s as well as growing within their economic metrics.
The awards are targeting women in particular because they have always been prehistorically placed at a disadvantage in the entrepreneurial sector and though there have been efforts to uplift, private sector still has not made significant financial pledges to rectify this.
