Lesley Musina Bags Lead Role In A New TV Drama Series. In a few days time, we will get to witness what looks like one of the best dramas to ever grace our screens. Produced by SAWITA (South African Woman in Television Arts), The Executives is a new drama series that boast some of the biggest names in the industry.
The storyline revolves around the world of powerful Chief Magistrate Bonginkosi Khumalo, who is on the verge of being appointed the next Concourt Judge of Ilanga Province. Each day comes with its up and downs for the people of Ilanga. Bonginkosi, whose swift rise to power may also prove to be his downfall as the skeletons in his closet begin to emerge is played by the former Muvhango star Lesley Musina.
With his marriage, career and family in the line of fire, Bonginkosi has to learn to take accountability for his actions and rebuild the bridges that were burnt through his selfish and reckless behavior. In the series premiere, he drives to face a gruesome scene, being covered by reporters and the CIU. Viewers will be curious to know who died in Bonginkosi’s office. His loving and obedient wife Nobantu is played by Pamela Zulu.
Other powerful cast members on the series include Llewellyn Cordier, Camilla Waldman, Gcina Nkosi, Daniel Hadebe, Refilwe Modiselle and Fezile Makhanya.
The Executives will premier on Sunday 9 August 2022 on SABC1.
