ICYMI! Menzi Ngubane’s Documentary is Almost Here. On 13 March 2021 we lost one of the most talented actors who ever graced out TV screens. Menzi Ngubane, who battled diabetes for many years, passed away at his Ladysmith Home in KwaZulu-Natal following complications from a stroke,
The 56 year old veteran actor was known by many as the no nonsense Sibusiso Dhlomo on Generations. He also made a mark as Judas Ngwenya on Mzansi Magic’s Isibaya. Ngubane played numerous roles on other South African TV shows, including Yizo Yizo, Ashes to Ashes, Gold Diggers, and Heist. He also appeared in a number of South African films, including How to Steal 2 Million.
His talent speaks for itself with numerous awards and nominations, as well as a CV of over 30 years experience in the TV and film industry. At the time of his passing there was still a lot he was about to offer in the industry. Many looked forward to his much anticipated debut on Mzansi Magic telenovela, The Queen.
To honor his memory, there is a new documentary coming up that pays tribute to Menzi. Titled, Ngubs: The Life and Times of Menzi Ngubane the documentary aims to keep his legacy going.
Ngubs: The Life and Times of Menzi Ngubane was directed by Ntokozo Mahlalela and will be launched on 28 August. It will play at Nu Metro from 2 September 2022.
