“A Dream Come True,” Warren Masemola on His Latest Acting Role. He is one of the most versatile actors we have in the country. Warren Masemola has played a gay man, a gangster, a community leader, among so many iconic roles.

The award winning actor is well known for his starring role as gay neighbor Thokozani “Thoko” Chanel, Phumi’s (the late Busi Lurayi) sidekick in the SABC1 sitcom Ses’Top La. His versatility as an actor, being able to portray a ruthless thug in one thing and effortlessly shift gears to become gay in another, is quite astounding.

Masemola has another opportunity to show us his greatness in a new production. He has just shared that he is joining the international cast of Showtime’s King Shaka by Antoine Fuqua. As much as he has been cast on many shows, Masemola describes this new role on the series as a dream come true.
