In 2018 Jacob Zuma had to step down from his seat as the president of South Africa after so much pressure from the public and the ruling party, African Nation Congress. Among the things that Zuma was accused of include corruption, and his relationship with the controversial Gupta family, made matters worse for him.

Cyril Ramaphosa, took over from Zuma, and many were hopeful that he was going to bring about the much needed change. Sadly the country has gone from bad to worse, with constant load shedding, high rate of unemployment, expensive commodities, poor infrastructures, poor health facilities just to mention a few.

Just a couple of hours back, the Mineral Resources Minister Gwede Mantashe, announced that there will be an adjustment of fuel prices. 93 ULP petrol goes up by R2.37, 95 ULP will go up by R2.57 and diesel will go up by R2.30 per litre.

As expected no one is happy about the current state of affairs. Even those who are well off can feel the pinch and they have taken to various social media platforms to air their grievances. Below is what some of them had to say;
