Sello Maake kaNcube’s PR On Why They allowed Him to Be Part of Khanyi Mbau’s Roast
Sello Maake kaNcube’s PR On Why They allowed Him to Be Part of Khanyi Mbau’s Roast. The day that so many people have been waiting for is almost here. Come the 8th of August 2022, Khanyi Mbau will take the centre stage as the first woman ever to get roasted on family central.
Among those who will be roasting the actress and media personality include controversial podcaster and media personality Sol Phenduka, veteran actor and activist Sello Maake Ka Ncube, award winning Hip Hop artist Nadia Nakai and comedy icon John Vlismas. Just like the previous roasts we have witnessed, we are going to see these personalities reveal certain traits we never knew of as they take on each other with uncensored clap backs.
It is such a risky gig to take which needs a thick skin, more so if you are not a comedian. You can easily lose it on stage when some of the panelists tear you apart. That is why so many people are worried for Maake ka Ncube, who is the oldest in the panel. Will he handle it when they mock him based on his past, or the fact that he married a much younger woman?
Well, his wife, Pearl, who happens to also be doing his public relations is not worried. She states that they have been taking calculated risks with his brand and so far itโs paying off.
“We have been taking calculated risks with his brand and so far itโs paying off!
Ordinarily I would never have allowed for a client of his caliber to be part of the roast but we also did the MacG podcast and his peers started accepting the interviews with MacG.
We didnโt only break barriers but we disrupting the status quo,” Pearl said.
