Tumisho Masha Celebrates Fatherhood After a 5 year Long Custody Battle. Nothing beats the feeling to be able to nurture and take care of your own offspring. Sadly there are situations where by children are taken away from their parents due to several reasons.
Tumisho Masha is one parent who knows that pain very well. For years, the multi-award winning actor has been fighting with his es wife for the custody of their daughter. Not long after their divorce, his ex-wife accused him of assaulting her in 2016. The former couple then had to constantly be in court to settle their disputes. With their relationship strained, they struggled to co-parent.
The good news for Tumisho is that the battle is finally over, and he gets to co-parent 50/50 with the child’s mother. As fathers around the world were celebrating Father’s Day this past Sunday, Tumisho also had the privilege to be spoiled by his daughter.
“This year symbolized how delay is not denial. Fatherhood would not be a full experience without the blessing and privilege of being able to serve your child/ren and being present in their lives as a father.
This year God granted me the blessing to father my child 50/50 after a 5 year long court battle. Often times I wanted to give up … BUT GOD!! Today I get to be a more present father in my child’s life … and I’m eternally grateful,” he said.
In his appreciation post, Tumisho encouraged people to always hold on to Gods promises no matter the journey. “God is faithful and restores that which the enemy has stolen. Trust him and hold fast to his promises – in ALL things. Weeping lasts only for a night BUT joy comes in the morning.”
He also wished all the fathers, Happy Father’s Day, adding that God gave them the ability to plant seed because he understood the great responsibility that comes with it and trusted them with that. Tumisho also encouraged fathers to stay committed to their responsibility and live in the blessings that come with it.
