Shoki Mmola Bids Farewell to Skeem Saam. It has been more than 10 years of being entertained by Celia Kunutu on our TV screens. That is one of the original roles that started off with Skeem Saam back in October 2011, when the SABC1 drama made its debut.
Just like many women who have been through a lot, Celia just wants to see her family on top, and sometimes she makes huge mistakes while at it. Life got hard for her, when her husband Benjamin Kunutu lost his life in a care accident. Celia was left to be a struggling single parent, but worked hard to see her children through school. She is now a married woman, working at Turfloop Hospital, and her life is so much better. The role of Celia is played by phenomenal actress, Shoki Mmola, who is killing it.
Sadly for Skeem Saam,” Shoki is leaving the show. According to a statement from SABC, the talented actress, is leaving the show. Nothing much was shared, other than the fact that she will be missed by colleagues as well as viewers out there. Shoki hasn’t shared any information on her social media platforms as of yet.
“Shoki Mmola bows out of Skeem Saam. The SABC bits farewell to Shoki Mmola who is leaving her role as ‘Celia’ on @SkeemSaam3. She will be missed by fellow cast members, crew members, and viewers watching at home. We wish her well and all the best with her future ventures,” reads the statement.
