Nandi Madida Reacts to Her Husband Zakes Bantwini Leading the SAMA Nominations’ Pack. If there is one thing many always look forward to in the entertainment calendar has to be award ceremonies. That is when we get to celebrate those personalities who have done exceptionally well in the industry.
One award ceremony that always gets many people out there excited, are the South African Music Awards. There is always great entertainment, not forgetting the avant garde fashion that is always served on the red carpet.
Earlier today the SAMAs nominations were announced in Johannesburg ahead of the awards ceremony on 31 July.
Zakes Bantwini is this year’s most nominated artist with seven nods. The talented musician is nominated for ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Male Artist of the Year’, ‘Best Dance Album’, ‘Best Collaboration x2’, ‘Best Engineered Album of the Year’ and ‘Record of the Year’. Other artists with multiple nominations include DJ Maphorisa, De Mthuda, Mobi Dixon, Msaki, Brian Temba, Sun-El Musician, Chymamusique and Khanyisile Mthethwa.
Nandi Madida, who is also a great musician, couldn’t help but share her excitement over Zakes Bantwini bagging seven nominations. She took to her social media platforms, where she declared her husband a musical genius.
