This is because they have been used to seeing the role played by this particular person, and their exit is going to mess things for them.

Many feel the same way with Mbalenhle Mavimbela, who is reportedly exiting The Wife Showmax Series. The talented actress stars on Hlomu the Wife, one of the three seasons inspired by Dudu Busani-Dube’s bestseller books. Mbale plays the much loved lead role of Hlomu, which has earned her a strong fan base due to her great acting skills. The lead role of Mqhele, Hlomu’s husband is played by Bonko Khoza, who is also doing a great job executing it.

Sadly, even good things do come to an end, and for The Wife fans, it means losing their beloved character, Hlomu. Entertainment blogger, Phil Mphela took to Twitter to break the news of her departure, which comes after two seasons with the series.

Fans of the show are not taking the news well. Some have called for the series to be cancelled since there is no point of it running without Mbali playing Hlomu. Others even feel for anyone who might be cast to replace the actress, because they can’t detach the face of Mbale from the role.
