Bathu’s Theo Baloyi Celebrates His Major Leadership Award. His story is one of the most inspirational ever told. Theo Baloyi started from humble beginnings in the township of Alexandra, and now he is bagging awards courtesy of his Bathu Shoe brand.
Baloyi, started his shoe business, in Alexandra Township back in 2015. The entrepreneur was however declined 16 times by the factory before being approved for the mesh edition flagship design. Now Bathu is a household name across the country and beyond. In February 2021, the shoe made major waves when Baloyi he collaborated with media personality, author and entrepreneur Somizi. The duo dropped the trendy BATHUXSOMIZI range, which everyone can’t stop talking about, to date.
In the same year, Bathu also made it to the Top 25 Most admired Africa Brands, ranking at number 10. Because of the success of Bathu, he got several awards in 2021, among them Entrepreneur of the Year at the Africa choice Awards, GQ Business Leader of the year, CEO of the Year, just to mention only three.
The successful businessman is also claiming the year 2022 as his own. He has just bagged the Young Business Leader of the Year award. This is his second Pan-African accolade, and he is over the moon over the milestone.
