Andile Ncube On the Great Lessons We Should Take From the Covid-19 Era. Never in a million years did we think, there will be a time when wearing facial masks, social distancing and sanitizing our hands become a very big part of our lives. Covid-19 came, and made that a new normal way of living that the entire world had to adapt to.
On Wednesday, Health Minister Joe Phaahla announced the end of mandatory use of masks indoors as well as removed restrictions on gatherings. This comes as the country experiences low Covid-19 infections and related deaths. Other changes include curbs on gathering sizes and border checks for Covid-19.
When it comes to the masks off restrictions, some people welcomed the changes, whereas others against it. Weighing on on the changes, Andile Ncube stated that we have learnt some good lesson during the difficult period, and he hopes we take it with going forward. The veteran media personality mentioned the washing of hands culture, personal space, and small events, among those practices that have been beneficial to us as a people.
“So many good lessons learnt during this covid / masks era that I hope remain with us and people around us -hygiene and hand washing culture -personal space Even stretching to how we buried and celebrated (so much money saved),” he said.
