Lesego Marakalla Makes Her Generations: The Legacy Debut. She is definitely back with a bang. Fans have been waiting for the return of Lesego Marakalla to the small screen since she exited hit SABC1 drama, Skeem Saam.
The award winning actress played Rachel Kunutu, a young lady who always did everything to have a better life. She did everything she could to live the life that she believed her late father could have given her, including getting married to an older rich man, Marothi Maphuthuma. For killing this character, Lesego bagged herself the Outstanding Female Villain award at the Royalty Soapie Awards in 2018.
Sadly in June 2020,after being with Skeem Saam for eight years Lesego bid the show farewell. She thanked all her fans for the amazing support and love they have given her all these years. Since her character wasn’t killed off, a lot of Skeem Saam fans are hopeful that one day they will see their beloved Rachel back on the show.
While they are still waiting for that another major show has snatched Lesego. She made her debut on Generations: The Legacy, Monday evening. She plays Tuso, who is Winston’s partner in crime and is already coming through with the much needed drama. In her debut scene, Lesego’s character bashed Sphesihle Cele for bad-mouthing serial killer Winston who tried to kill her.
