Lawrence Maleka Bags a Major Hosting Gig. When you are this good at your job, it goes without saying that every gig will have your name on it. Fresh from hosting the Just ended Big Brother Mzansi Season III, Lawrence Maleka is on to another gig.

Lawrence held it down Wednesday night as the MC at the launch of the 2022 DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards. The talented TV host and actor will be guiding voters through the process until the big event on the 25th of June 2022, where he will be doing his duties as the host of the night. Looking at his CV as an entertainer, Maleka is more than capable of hosting a star-studded event of this magnitude.

Already the nominees have been revealed, and the voting lines are open. The DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards, which are a celebration of local talent, will be held at Sun Arena in Pretoria on the 25th of June 2022 and will also be broadcast live on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161).

The Soweto born personality is without a doubt one of the best we have in the industry. The self-taught Maleka first made it into the public eye where he was picked as the presenter of The Gadget Show on Soweto TV, followed by success on several other shows, including Star Gist and All Access Mzansi. His major break-through came when he replaced Bonang Matheba as the host of South Africa’s version of Clash of the Choirs.
