Proverb Finds a New Radio Home

Proverb Finds a New Radio Home. METRO FM has just released it anticipated lineup for 2022, and it is quite interesting. It has been out for some time that Tbo Touch was coming back to the SABC radio station. The veteran media personality and entrepreneur will hold down the afternoon drive from Monday to Friday, at 15:00-1800. His show will be called, The Touchdown.

Another return soldier making his way back to METRO FM, is Proverb. The award winning rapper, media personality, author and Idols SA producer was the technical and content producer on the drive-time show on METRO FM, The Avenue 3 to 6 with Glen Lewis and Unathi. He also hosted his own show, The Pro-File, on Saturdays and Sundays on METRO FM. He then briefly joined Highveld Stereo (now 947) before settling at Kaya Fm 95.9.

At Kaya FM, Proverb hosted two radio shows, namely: The Kayasette which aired on Fridays from 12pm to 3pm and The Winner’s Circle, which aired on Saturdays from 11 am to 2pm. He focused on musicians and held unplugged sessions for his Friday show, “Kayasette” and had sit-downs with trailblazers on his Saturday show, “The Winner’s Circle”. In February 2021, Proverb bid farewell to the radio station, after being with them for four years.

He is now back at METRO FM, as part for the just released new lineup. Proverb will join Lerato Kganyago, as the host of The Midday Linkup, which airs Monday to Friday from 12:00 – 15:00.
