Hlubi Mboya Releases a Statement Confirming the Death of Her Sister Kuli Roberts. It doesn’t get more real than this. A few hours ago, people were hoping that the news about Kuli Roberts‘ passing were just fake news, but now the family has just confirmed that indeed she is no more.
Kuli’s sister Hlubi Mboya-Arnold has shared the family statement to confirm their loved one’s untimely death. The statement reveals that the veteran media personality and journalist passed away last night (Wednesday), in Johannesburg.
The family describes Kuli as an all rounder journalist who was the life of any gathering. Although some reports have stated that she died after collapsing onset, the family have not disclosed the cause of death as yet. They have asked the public for prayers and privacy during this time of grief.
Having started her career as a journalist and editor in the early 2000s, Kuli went on to become one versatile personality. She is well know as a TV presenter, having co-hosted hit shows such as The Real Goboza, Headlines and Trending SA.
She was also a talented radio host, showing off her skills on Kaya FM. Kuli was never afraid to try her hand on anything, thus she ventured into acting at some point in her life. She had a stint as an actress on the popular Mzansi Magic telenovela, The Queen. She was also an author, having penned down a fictional book, Siren. Last year, she also tried the world of politics by standing as ATM Councillor candidate in 2021, a mission she later aborted anyway.
Kuli is survived by her two children, a grandchild, her mother, father, two sisters and a brother. We send our heartfelt condolences to her family as well as loved ones all over the country and beyond.
