2015 Metro FM Music Awards Nominees

The nominees for the Metro music awards were announced last night and as usual there was a lot to of talk on who got lucky, who deserved it and off cause who got snubbed. Some nominations you didn’t expect to hear some you expected and never heard. It doesn’t matter now, the question is on those who got nominated who has the most loyal fans . So if you need help on deciding who to vote for here’s who got nominated for some of the most popular categories.

Seems Casper Nyovest and A.K.A are at it again going against each other for the best male album for Tsholofelo and Levels respectively alongside K.O for Skhanda Republic, Afrotraction for For the Lovers, Donald for Black and White.
For the best music video the nominees are A.K.A’s congratulate, Casper Nyovest’s Doc Shebeleza, Afroteraction’s Angeke, D.J. Fisherman’s Call out and K.O’s Caracara. For the best hip hop album it’s A.K.A ‘s Levels and Casper Nyovest’s Tsholofelo again with K.O’s Skhanda Republic , Duncan’s Street Government and D.J Dimplez’ Zeal.

Best collaboration nominees

Are D.J Clock ft Beatenberg with Pluto, A.K.A ft K.O with Run Jozi, K.O ft Kid X with Caracara, HHP ft Harrison Crump, Asheru, Omar with So amazing and last but not least A.K.A ft Burna Boy, Da les and J.R for All eyes on me.

Best hit single

Nods went to Casper’ Doc Shebeleza, D.J Clock’s Pluto, K.O’s Caracara, D.J Merlon ft Mondli for Koze kuse and Beatenberg’s Rafael.

Best new artist

We have Dr Malinga going head to head with Musa, D.J Dimplez, Duncan and Chyma musique. Best Kwaito only had three artists nominated in its category, Thebe for The Legend, Tromples’ Delicious and L’vovo Derango’s The boss.

Best Urban Gospel Album nominees were Rebecca Malope for Ama V.I.P, Khaya Mthetwa for The Uprising, Lundi Tyamara for New Testament, D.J QT for Quantized vol7 and Sfiso Ncwane for Bayede Baba.

Best female album nominees are Naima Kay for Ngiyavuma, Bucie for Princess of house, Unathi for Alive, Lulu Dikana for I came to love and Moneoa for Ndim Lo.Best R&B nods went to Afrotraction, M,oneoa, Ayanda Jiya, Donald and Lloyd Cele.

The biggest award that everybody wants is for the song of the year and the nominees are A.K.A’s Congratulate, Casper’s Doc Shebeleza, Beatenberg’s Rafael, The Soil’s Suzan, Euphonik’s Busa, Casper again for Phuma Kim, Black Motion’s Rainbow, D.J Dimplez’ Yaya, D.J Fisherman’s Call out and Kelly Khumalo’s Asine.

The voting closes on the 22nd of February except the category for song of the year which on the night of the show on the 28th of February. Can’t wait to see what you decide!
