Statement! Here is The Real Reason Thuli Phongolo’s Role On The Wife Was Cut Short. Back in October 2021, it was all excitement on social media when Thuli Phongolo announced her new acting role. The talented actress and DJ, revealed that she was joined the cast of The Wife, where she has been cast as Lerato.

The excited Thuli spoke about the support that the cast members give each other on set. She also expressed her joy of working with such formidable actors. As viewers were getting to enjoy Thuli playing this character, it came to an abrupt end. January 13th 2022 was her last day on the show, and as expected there has been so many rumors as to why Thuli is no longer on The Wife. On Twitter, a lot of people, said she missed a couple of shootings, which is something that got her fired.

Finally Thuli has decided to address the rumors, and she released a statement that clarifies her departure. According to the statement released by Thuli’s management, the role was written off due to schedule clashes. Thuli through her management, denies all those claims which have been made on social media regarding the end of her character.

Looking at how booked she has been over the past couple of months, it goes without saying that one gig was going to suffer. Although this is kind of sad for her fans, Thuli is grateful to have been given the opportunity which contributed to her growth as an actress.
