Pearl Thusi Once Again Caught Up in Colourism Mess. It looks like she never catches a break in these social media circles. Most of the time when Pearl Thusi, shares her views on something trending on social media, her posts gets scrutinized to the core. Nonetheless, this has not stopped her from sharing her views, and she is one of the most active celebrities on Twitter.
For the past few days, American singer Arie Lennox has been trending on South African Twitter. This came after her recent interview with podcast host, MacG. The interview took an uncomfortable turn when MacG asked her an explicitly sexual question in a manner that viewers have described as crass. MacG, is used to asking his guests about their sex life and Arie was no exception.
Arie showed that she wasn’t really comfortable with the question, but somehow brushed it off and the interview continued. It was only after a few days, that Arie took to Twitter to express her feelings. She said the experience with MacG may have put her off doing interviews for life. Ari also said she will never set her foot her in South Africa. So many people her in SA dragged Arie, with social media influence Mr Smeg, throwing shade at Arie saying she is not beautiful.
Just like many Pearl laughed at the tweet, but also stated that her finding it funny doesn’t mean she approves of it. It looks like tweeps chose to ignore her disclaimer and started dragging her for laughing at another woman. The colourism factor was also included by some tweeps.
