“I Made the Mistake of Assuming One of My Colleagues Is My Friend,” Zenande Mfenyana

“I Made the Mistake of Assuming One of My Colleagues Is My Friend,” Zenande Mfenyana. People often think a romantic breakup is the worst thing ever. But come to think of it, friendship break ups can also be devastating. Of course yes, people can organically grow apart, but sometimes a lot of hurtful things happen causing solid long term friendships to just crumble.

One person who knows this very well is Zenande Mfenyana. Back in November 2020, the talented actress spoke about her heartbreak after a friend broke up with her. According to Zenande, a friendship she valued, ended unexpectedly. She was so hurt more so since this was the first time she went through this but has decided to let things be.

The actress, who gave birth to her first child last year, has take to Twitter once again to speak about a friendship that didn’t work out. Going a bit deeper, Zenande said she made a mistake of assuming that one of her colleagues was her friend. She even told her about her pregnancy from the get go, and the so called friend even attended Zenande’s baby shower.

Sadly after that, she wet all silent on Zenande for a whole 5 months of her leave. Upon seeing Zenande at work, the ‘friend’ wanted to play catch up, something that was a shocker. Zenande narrated her story in a Twitter thread, which was soon deleted.

Guy, I made the mistake of assuming one of my colleagues is my friend. I mean she was one of the 1st people I told about my pregnancy, she came to my drive-by baby shower. And then silence. Not a word from her. I got back to work after 5 months…

And she wanted to catch up. Catch up? Really? Did you not think to check up on me in the past 5 months? A little “hey how are you and baby doing?” would have sufficed. Needless to say, I’m glad she showed me who she wants to be in my life. Silly me for thinking we were friends,’ Zenande explained.
