Lekau Sehoana Reveals The biggest Financial Mistake He Ever Made
Lekau Sehoana Reveals The biggest Financial Mistake He Ever Made. We learn from our mistakes, as well as other people’s mistakes. That is why it is always important that we listen when people who have been through the most dish out pearls of wisdom.
One person that the masses look up to is definitely Lekau Sehoana. His, is a story of rags to riches, with so many valuable lessons along the way. In November 2021, the Drip shoe brand CEO, revealed what led to the collapse of his egg business which he did back in the day. Sehoana managed to sell 50 boxes a day going for 380 at local Spaza shops. Sadly, due to high competition which offered cheaper stock, he was eventually out of business.
In 2022, he is coming through with more valuable lessons. The successful businessman advises that you don’t necessarily have to buy something just because you afford it. Using himself as an example, Sehoana said when he started working, he bought a Mini Cooper, even though he was given a company vehicle as well as a petrol card. He regards this as the worst financial mistake he has ever made.
“Just because you afford it, doesn’t mean you should buy it. The biggest Blessing is being able to Afford, not Buying. The biggest financial mistake i made when i started working was to buy a Mini Cooper even when the Company gave me an NP200 Bakkie and a Petrol Card. Worst thing,” Lekau said.
The good thing about Sehoana is that he did not give up, and still pursued his dream of being a businessman. In July this year, he made headlines after collaborating with Cassper Nyovest. The multi-award winning rapper and TV personality, signed a deal with Drip Footwear worth R100m. The duo also launched Root Of Fame sneakers, which made waves across the country.
