10 Interesting Facts About Generations: The Legacy’s Andile Nebulane (Detective Malinga). If there is one actor who has managed to stay humble despite his success it has to be Andile Nebulane. He has successfully solidified himself as one of South Africa’s most valued actors, but still keeps off the limelight as much as he can. That has made it difficult for fans to know a lot about him.

1. Andile Nebulane attended the University of Cape Town, where he did a Performers’ Diploma in Speech and Drama. He also did an Acting for Camera course at AFDA.

2. The talented actor launched his career professionally overseas before coming back home. It wasn’t easy to penetrate the local scene though, as he was regarded a newcomer. Nonetheless, Andile pushed through, and now he is a force in the industry.

3. He stepped into the limelight through his first production in 1996, Behind the Bars. After that, Andile bagged his first starring role as Duma, the owner of Slyza Records, in the eKasi+ drama series Hustle.

4. As his presence began to be felt here in SA, he continued to back guest starring roles in a number of television series including Interrogation Room, ER, Divers Down, Shooting Stars, 90 Plein Street and Heaven.

5. He currently plays Detective Malinga on Generations: The Legacy. Malinga is one cop who is decicated to his job, and has put many bad guys behind bars.

6. Andile has also appeared in a number of TV commercials. His clients include, Coca Cola, Engen, Eskom, Knorr, Metropolitan, MTN, Old Mutual, Shoprite, Wimpy and many more.

7. On top of his many talents, Andile is also bilingual, who speaks local languages such as Xhosa, English, Afrikaans and Zulu.

8. The private Andile was rumored to have dated Generations actress, Chi Mhende, but those were just rumors following their on screen chemistry in a film they both worked on a few years ago.

9. Although he keeps his personal life private, Andile is an incredible and amazing father as he loves sharing special moments with his adorable children.

10. On a sad note, the actor was wrongly profiled as a drug dealer in 2011 and got ferociously battered by armed policemen.
