Vusi Thembekwayo Responds to Domestic Violence Allegations Against Him. One thing that is definitely a pandemic in this country is Gender Based Violence issues. Every single hour its either a woman is emotionally, financially, or physically abused. In so many instances it sadly ended in loss of lives.

The government, human rights groups as well as members of the public always try to raise awareness when it comes to issues of GBV. Having noted that though, there are instances where it is not easy for the perpetrators to be held accountable. Sometimes victims do not report their abusers, other do report but after sometime Some of the cases are just allegations without proof. In other cases, the victim just makes up the story, which always question every case’s credibility.

Some of our male celebrities have also at some point been victims, or abusers themselves. We have seen high profiled people like Black Coffee, DJ Fresh, Euphonik, Somizi, Jub Jub and so many others be accused of different kinds of abuse. But due to lack of evidence, and the time the alleged victims took before reporting, it is always tricky to tell facts from lies.

Another male personality who has just been accused of abusing their partner is Vusi Thembekwayo. The businessman, motivational speaker and author has allegedly been charged with gender-based violence against his wife Palesa Thembekwayo. According to Sunday World, Thembekwayo slapped his wife, dragged her by the feet during a heated argument in their home.

To clear his name Thembekwayo took to Twitter with his side of the story. He stated that his family is going through a difficult period and he came to the country to attend some of them. One of those issues was his wife’s longstanding battle with substance abuse. According to Thembekwayo her wife’s response ended up in alleged charges of assault laid against him.

In all of this, Thembekwayois says he is innocent, and added that he has been cooperating with the law. He also pointed out that he is man who likes to keep his family matters private. Thembekwayo says he will continue to do so, more so to protect his children.
