Sad Note: Former Real Housewives of Johannesburg Star Naledi Willers Passes Away. It is yet another sad day for South Africa. As if this year has not been painful enough, we have lost yet another young star. Naledi Willers, who many came to know from season 1 of the Real Housewives of Johannesburg has passed away.
The reality TV star, actress, model, beauty queen and Law graduate, succumbed to her long time battle with cancer. On the 29th of November 2019, Naledi was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer. During this difficult time she had people who really came through for her, among them Babalwa Mneno and DJ Oneal. A year ago, Naledi shared a lengthy post on her Instagram page about how she survived breast cancer. She then started sharing inspirational posts about her journey and comforting those battling the disease.
Sadly, the monster that is cancer, cut her life way too short. Naledi who was quite active on Instagram, stopped sharing posts in the beginning of July this year, which could probably due to intensive treatment.
Naledi was crowned the second princess in Miss Botswana beauty pageant, back in 2009. She got married to Quinton Masina, aka Naked DJ in 2017, but unfortunately the couple split in 2019. Although there hasn’t been any formal statement from the family, or anyone close, tweeps continue to send messages of condolences to the family.
